IT Applications Program Manager - (Mason) in Lansing, Michigan For Sale

The Applications Program Manager will oversee the successful planning and implementation of multiple projects related to Web Technologies, Intranet, SharePoint, and Legacy Application Upgrades. Specific Duties: Develop and maintain a program charter, governance model, and roadmap for fully implementing Infrastructure and Operational Enhancements that support companys global SAP Deployment and ongoing acquisition integration efforts Establish and maintain the program charter, communication plan, and governance model with appropriate steering teams, decision making framework, and accountability structures Work to shape and manage the program with defined governance processes and tools including forecasting demand and maintaining appropriate levels of FTE and Supplier Augmentation labor Interface and communicate with program/project team, management and stakeholders on a regular basis, to create a Program culture of inclusion and transparency Lead the development of project charters, work plans, and resource plans to manage the delivery of the objectives that are aligned with business goals including timing, cost, and scope Ensure that quality program/project standards are met as prescribed by IT Governance, through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables Participate in the expansion and implementation of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) in process areas such as Software Asset Management, Service Catalog Management, and Service Portfolio Management, and Project Portfolio Management Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities: Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff Responsible for employee development, discipline, performance appraisals, and administration of policies Make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and pay adjustments Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study Three (3) years experience as a Senior IT Project Manager, IT Program Manager, or IT Program Director Five (5) years experience with total Project Management One (1) year supervisory experience with excellent leadership and management skills Mastery of the technical knowledge of program and project management inter-related process stages ie initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes (eg, scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management) Excellent knowledge in related processes such as portfolio management, methods and tools, and quality assurance Experience and knowledge of ITIL Change Management and Project Management best practices Experience in using PMBOK best practices for cross functional environments, including Infrastructure and Operations Experience using phases and gates within project management approaches Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate, persuade and influence decision making, and the ability to listen effectively Very strong stakeholder relationship management skills, demand management skills, and strong project management skills to successfully lead and manage program delivery Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations Resilient and tenacious with an inclination toward policy and process Demonstrated ability to learn technical information quickly Team player able to work collaboratively and effectively with and through others, at all levels in the organization Forward looking with process improvement in mind Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions Strong attention to detail Preferred Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ITIL Certified or ISO/IEC Foundation Certified preferred PMI PMBOK Certified preferred Six Sigma Certified preferred Experience in using ITIL Change Management best practices preferred SharePoint experience preferred SAP, SAP SOlution Manager, SAP ITSM experience preferred Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Project Server preferred SAP ChaRM training or experience is a plus
